How we bill
Ongoing services are billed on a monthly basis. Invoices are issued at the start of each billing cycle and are due upon receipt. All invoices are sent and processed through Stripe — you'll receive a secure payment link via email.
When work begins
For new engagements, work does not begin until both a signed agreement and payment of the first invoice have been received. This protects both parties and ensures we're fully aligned before kicking things off.
Non-refundable services
Because Merit Studio's services are custom digital deliverables, all fees paid are non-refundable once work has begun. This includes consulting, strategy, content, copywriting, SEO, social media services, and more.
Cancelling a monthly retainer
Ongoing monthly retainer agreements may be cancelled at any time with 14 days written notice sent to laura@themeritstudio.co. Any work completed or in progress within the current billing period is non-refundable. Work will continue through the end of the notice period.
Project-based work
One-time or project-based engagements are invoiced per the terms outlined in your signed agreement. Payment terms will be specified in your project scope.
Disputes
If you have a concern about your project or invoice, please reach out directly before initiating a dispute. We're committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly.
